We are excited to announce the 2021 Premiere Opera FoundationInternational Vocal Competition and Professional Casting Auditions!

For the past three years, NYIOP has partnered with Premiere Opera Foundation to produce one of the most exciting and unique international vocal competitions. We have worked to innovate at every step and 2021 is no different.

In 2019 we brought Actual Casting Auditions into the Vocal Competition to fuel opportunities as no international competition has ever done before. For 2020, we completely reinvented the competition and held the world's FIRST and ONLY FULLY VIRTUAL international vocal competition with a jury that clearly placed us at the top level of competitions worldwide - plus we even added MORE prize moneythan ever before, to inspire hope during that difficult period.

For 2021 - we are doing it again! While the opera world is restarting, we are offering the WORLD'S ONLY 100% hybrid vocal competition - VIRTUAL or LIVE IN NYC - you choose how you want to compete!

We are looking for the entire world's best opera singers - to discover, to support, to provide opportunities!

PRIZES & AWARDS

Over $35,000 worth in cash prizes and special awards. Every finalist will receive a cash prize. You do not have to be a finalist to receive one of the special awards.

Prizes will be split equally across both the Virtual and Live platforms, doubling the amount of artists who can benefit. Major cash prizes, as well as Encouragement Awards, Study Grants, Audience Prizes, and other Special Awards! Plus, multiple Professional Casting/Contract Opportunities!
